1960s Hippie Inspired Wedding

hippie 1960s wedding styleboard

I enjoyed making this board. This one was just so much fun to plan and to try to anticipate what would go together. For other bridal needs, go to Candimere’s Mind Store. Enjoy!

  • Flower Child 60s Costume: This outfit looks perfect to be a wedding outfit for a hippie wedding. This comes with the top, vest and headband. I would recommend the headband I am showing below to match the flowers.
  • Mini Daisy Flower Crown Headband: Easy to put on and creates a instant stunning new hair style. Floral Headband with simply, sweet, elegant design, make you more charming.
  • Lily Garden Artificial Wildflower Bouquet: This bouquet is stunning for this theme. I wanted to pick something simple that you could either buy out right to use or make yourself.
  • Groovy Fun Flowers Pink with Brown Bow Pocket Invitations: This invitation fits right in with this theme. I just love the colors and all the bright flowers that could easily be copied onto a cake design.
  • Hippie Wedding Cake: I picked this one because of the colors and design. If this is too much for you, you can also try a hippie van shaped cake with daisies around it.
  • 60’s Party Buttons: I think some buttons would make a perfect wedding favor and would work for all ages and genders. You could use the ones I pictured or when you click on the link it will bring up many different designs. I suggest putting the buttons in a vase and suggest people take one or two to wear during the reception.

Southwest Inspired Wedding

Today’s theme was inspired by my resent trip to Reno. As I was touring the city, I was surprised at the Mexican/Spanish influence in the homes around the area. When thinking of any city, I always think of nice green lawns and tidy hedges, but in Reno there is lots of desert and rocky soil. Many homes had only a small patch of grass, but most opted for more native variety plants and decorated their yards in southwest style. With those memories in mind, I put together this theme based on what I saw. Hope you enjoy! Many of these items are no longer made or for sale. For other bridal needs, go to Candimere’s Mind Store.

  • Off White Spanish Dress: This stunning long tulle evening dress has a Spanish flair skirt that sings on the dance floor. This dress features a bodice that is fully ruched with a beaded strip cinching the empire waist. The one shoulder neckline has a tulle flower appliqué at the shoulder. The skirt is made up of layers of ruffled tulle.
  • Mexican Themed Wedding Cake: This two tiered beautiful cake with a double bead border and attention to detail in the pattern around the cake is sure to be a hit at your wedding!
  • Scallop Square Decorated Cookies: They come individually packaged, tied with coordinating ribbon, and nestled into a nice box tied with a bow! They measure 2 1/2″ in size and hand cut and decorated.
  • Southwestern Sterling Liquid Silver & Gemstone 36″ Necklace: Round gemstone beads in a variety of sizes are scattered throughout this liquid sterling silver necklace in a celebration of color. Highly polished, round sterling silver beads serve as endcaps for the vibrant piece.
  • Mexican Tiles Wedding Invitations: These invitations convey the vibrancy of color found in Mexican artwork and the beauty of their designs. These invitations would look beautiful with this theme. They also come in a variety of different types of invitations and accessories.
  • Personalized and Custom Flavors Salsa Wedding Favors: Each order is unique and one of a kind, just like your special day! Once you’ve determined size, shape and flavor, you get to decide how they embellish your favor. All the items are finished with personalized, custom, high quality and professionally printed labels, free of charge. For a small additional fee they will add embellishments.

Colorful Butterflies Wedding

Today’s wedding theme is all about the colorful butterflies. I just love watching them flutter around the garden. I hope this theme inspires you to have a colorful and fun wedding. Many of these items are no longer made or for sale. For other bridal needs, go to Candimere’s Mind Store. Enjoy!

  •  Fiorella Butterfly Wedding Dress: Fiorella has a princess bodice with boning, dropped waistline and petal layered skirt lined with a fabric color of your choice. The lining picks up the colors in the artwork when the wind blows the front petals to the side and when you are dancing.
  • Butterfly Garden Shimmer Wedding Invitations: Each part of this invitation suite is hand painted with watercolor and ink and one shimmer color. Colors may be tailored to your wedding colors.
  • Butterfly Bouquet Picks: These butterfly bouquet picks can be tucked into bouquets to evoke a sense of perfect synergistic timing. There’s the bride, coming down the aisle, and she’s so lucky that a butterfly is leaping from her bouquet! Six little rhinestones form a flower at the butterfly’s heart chakra. Each butterfly measures 1.25″ x 1″ and is on a 10″ wire that slides into the bouquet.
  • Wildflower Bouquet: No two bouquets will look the same if you use local wildflowers in your area. This coordinates perfectly with the invitation and dress.
  • Vanilla Buttercream Butterfly Wedding Cake: The simplistic buttercream icing works beautifully with the colorful butterflies. It makes them the star of the show without overcrowding the cake.
  • Plantable Mini Butterfly Seed Shapes: (This item was not featured in the picture.) Pretty butterflies ready to fill your guests’ hearts with your kind wishes — and their gardens with wildflowers!
